Columbus, Ohio Dec. 26, 2017 - On Thursday, Dec. 28th from 6:15 pm – 10:00 pm, The Church at Mill Run, 3500 Mill Run Drive in Hilliard Ohio, will screen the pre-release film, Unbridled starring Eric Roberts (The Dark Knight) and T.C. Stallings (War Room). From 6:15pm-7:00pm, kids and adults may take pictures with guest horses Lakota and Barley, courtesy of ShadowPhax Stables.


Film director Q&A will follow with award-winning director John David Ware, an Upper Arlington High School and Miami University alumnus. All are welcome to this event, designed to raise awareness for abused women and rescued horses. Registration is free at  

Unbridled is inspired by true stories from Corral Riding Academy, which helps abused girls to heal by pairing them with rehabilitated horses.  See trailer at

The film is appropriate for ages 13 and up and refreshments will be served.“Animal therapy is dramatic and effective and we’ve captured some of that magic,” said Ware. “At its heart Unbridled is a girl-and-her-horse, victory film that leaves audiences cheering!”

Selected short films from Ware’s 168 Film Project will also screen, showcasing the best of the speed-faith-film competition. There will also be a Q & A for filmmakers regarding careers in Hollywood and participation in the annual 168 filmmaking competition in May 2018. “168 is a great way to get your feet wet and to see if filmmaking is for you. And yes, you can compete from your hometown, anywhere in the world,” said Ware.

The first 100 Unbridled screening registrants will receive a free Best of 168 Film DVD.  * DVDs must be received at the screening, they will not be shipped.JOHN DAVID WARE is an award-winning writer-director.  He is currently producing an untitled Sci-Fi thriller about emerging technologies that threaten to reshape our world and an original TV series based on the short films of the 168 Film Project called "A Fresh Look at the Good Book."

He is the Founder and President of 168 Film, which includes writing and film production competitions. "168" has helped propel the lives and careers of thousands of artists all over the world. John has produced the 168 Film Festival for 16 years, featuring celebrities such as Candace Cameron Bure, (Full House), Zachary Levi (Thor: Ragnarok, Tangled), and Stephen Baldwin (The Usual Suspects). Originally from Columbus Ohio, John went to film school at Miami University. He lives in Burbank, CA.###
